Vinh Trang temple













Location: Vinh Trang Pagoda of My Phong commune, My Tho city, Tien Giang Province.

Characteristics: Vinh Trang Pagoda is the largest temples in Tien Giang province, looking sleek temple architecture of Asia and Europe.





Build by Mr. and Mrs. Bui Cong Dat built around the early 19th century. By 1849, Venerable Giac Lam Pagoda in Hue Dang (Gia Dinh) the abbot held the throne of self construction and named Vinh Trang Pagoda.

The pagoda consists of 5 layers with 2 tennis landscape, 178 columns. In 1907, the venerable chief Hau temple brings the same opinions of architecture and European architecture. Around the temple are many graves of the tower abbot and monks were decorated with elaborate stone carvings.

As well there are 60 statues of Buddha precious wood, especially the collection bowl Arhat statues were carved in 1907 is the culmination of statuary art Cuu Long River Delta.
